Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy covers the Kearsarge Studios marketing website located at kearsargestudios.com (the "Site"). It does not cover the privacy practices of individual Kearsarge Studios apps and publications (such as GotOptions or FamilyRecipes), which are governed by their own per-product privacy policies.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Who operates this site

This Site is operated by Kearsarge Studios LLC ("Kearsarge Studios"), a New Hampshire limited liability company. You can reach us at hello@kearsargestudios.com .

Information we collect

We do not use cookies on this Site. We do not collect personal information unless you choose to contact us directly. The one exception is the payment page, described below, where Paddle's checkout runs.

Analytics. This Site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track you across websites, and does not collect personal information. The data Plausible collects is aggregate and anonymized — page views, referrer sources, and general device/browser information. You can read Plausible's privacy policy at plausible.io/privacy.

Email contact. If you email us at hello@kearsargestudios.com, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry. We do not share it with third parties, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. When you follow a payment link from a Paddle email to our payment page, that page loads Paddle's checkout script (Paddle.js) from Paddle's servers. Paddle.js does not load for a visitor who opens the page without a payment link.

Your name, email address, billing address and card or PayPal details go directly to Paddle, which processes them as an independent controller under its Privacy Notice (opens on the Paddle site). Paddle's checkout may use cookies or similar storage, and its own analytics and fraud-prevention services, while it is open. We never see or store your full card number. Paddle shares the details of your order with us so we can provide what you bought.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to respond to your inquiry (for example, our email provider, Zoho Mail, processes inbound email), and with Paddle when you buy from us, as described above. We have no advertising partners, no social tracking integrations, and no data brokers.

Hosting

This Site is hosted by Vercel, Inc. Vercel may log standard web server data (IP address, request timestamp, request path, HTTP status) as part of normal hosting operations. This data is retained per Vercel's standard log retention policy and is not shared with Kearsarge Studios except in aggregate or as part of error diagnosis.

Your rights

Because this Site collects no personal data beyond what you voluntarily send via email, there is little data to request, correct, or delete. If you have contacted us by email and wish to have that correspondence deleted, please email us at hello@kearsargestudios.com and we will comply within 30 days.

For data about a purchase, you can ask Paddle directly under its Privacy Notice, or ask us and we will handle the request with Paddle. Each product's own privacy policy covers the data that product holds.

Children

This Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if our practices change. Significant changes will be noted with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
