Delete your FamilyRecipes account & data

Draft — not yet in force. This document is pending founder and outside-counsel review (website launch gate #3) and is not a public, binding agreement until that review is complete and this banner is removed.

You can delete your FamilyRecipes account and the data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, what gets removed, and the limited records we may have to keep.

Delete from within the app (fastest)

  1. Open FamilyRecipes.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

Before deleting, you can export your recipes if you want to keep a copy.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email hello@kearsargestudios.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject "FamilyRecipes account deletion." We will verify your request and complete deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in identifier.
  • Your recipes, photos, notes, tags, and collections stored on our servers.
  • Your sharing links and invitations (these are revoked).
  • Personal information held in our active systems, removed or anonymized within 30 days.

Recipes you previously shared and that another person already saved to their own account remain in that person's account, since it is now their copy.

What we may retain

We may keep a limited set of records where the law requires it — for example transaction records for any paid purchase, and basic security logs — and standard backups age out on a rolling basis. App store purchase records are held by the relevant app store under its own policies; cancel any subscription through your app store account.
